We Are Permanently Closing Jan. 23, 2021
COVID-19: No Osteopathic Services in AB
As of December 14th, all Osteopathic services are suspended due to Alberta’s new COVID-19 restrictions. If this changes before our official closure date (January 23), we will notify you.
UPDATE (Dec 17): signing this change.org petition to help Osteopathic Manual Therapists return to work would really help us out!
Our hopes are that the Alberta government will remove this restriction, as Manitoba Osteopathic manual therapists have already been allowed to return to work. This was thanks to the support of osteopathic patients in Manitoba who wrote to their MLAs (Members of Legislative Assembly), explaining how their joint/back/etc. pain improved as a result of their Osteopathic care, much like it would with the help of physiotherapy and chiropractic care. When the government understood that Osteopathic manual therapists, too, could help alleviate pressure on their provincial healthcare resources, they waived the COVID-19 restriction on Osteopathic services.
Please write to your MLA if you feel passionate about this subject. We could use all the support we can get right now so that we may provide you with better support.
Click here to find your MLA and their contact information.
Here is an example of a letter written by a person to their MLA in support of Osteopathy, as an example.
And as mentioned above, signing this change.org petition to help Osteopathic Manual Therapists return to work would really be appreciated!
Naturopathy and Acupuncture/TCM* services will be able to continue operating at this time.
* Our acupuncturist and TCM Doctor, Dr. Laura Gauthier, will not be offering these services at this time due to personal reasons.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Your care and safety are important to us.
No Acupuncture or TCM Services
As mentioned above, our acupuncturist and TCM Doctor, Dr. Laura Gauthier, will not be offering her services at this time due to personal reasons.
COVID-19 Measures
Please note that the following measures are still in effect and that we appreciate your patience and cooperation:
We are doing a Health questionnaire screening at the time of the booking and before each patient enters the clinic. People who accompany patients, such as parents, caregivers or companions must also be screened with the same questions as the patient.
Patients are required to wear a mask before entering the clinic. If you do not have one the clinic can provide you one.
Hand washing/sanitizing is required at entry of the clinic, and after your appointment before payment.
We request you arrive on time for your appointments. If you are early, we ask that you wait in your vehicle. This will decrease traffic in our waiting area.
Please bring your own drinks to your appointment. Please bring Toys or books for the children as the clinic cannot provide them at this time.
We are glad to be helping our patients again. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. See you soon!
